The New Zealander reinvented himself after his single-seater career ran out of steam. He used his connections on the Asian scene to move into the region's Carrera Cup for 2013 and, off the back of that, earned a Porsche junior gig in '14. What followed was a remarkable run to the Supercup with a hitherto-unfancied team, a parallel leadership in the German Carrera Cup until he had to skip the last few rounds because of date clashes, and a second Asian title. A starring role at Petit Le Mans played its part in his elevation to works Porsche driver for 2015 to complete his remarkable story.
